Awesome place. They've got electricity and water in some spots. The whole area is really big and there's plenty of room for everyone. It's really well kept and I always have a good time here. They've even got good showers and toilets. There are tons of cool trails to walk and it's just a really cool place

Last but not least, I saw a few people get pulled over for speeding by the Park Rangers within park limits, so be mindful of the low speed limit.

Very upset that the state park doesn't give any kind of discount for veterans, AND that they charge $7 a day for every time you enter! Do they NOT want people staying here? Don't bother staying if you think it's cheaper. Go up the road to an RV park. You might pay a bit more per night but you won't get charged the entrance fee every time you go through the gate AND you might even be honored as a veteran.

Great place for camping. The kids enjoyed it. Beautiful views of the lake. It was a little too choppy for fishing on the beach.

The site itself is nice - especially if you can get one of the covered tables! The kids especially had fun on the beach (toward the outermost peninsula of the park area).

Love this place beautiful lake with awesome fishing and outdoor activities. The only problem I guess I have is that they have a quiet time after 10 p.m. that they force. This really isn't any different than other Texas State Park stuff so I guess I can't complain too much

They charge $7.00 per person, not per car. This adds up quickly and seems a little bit over-the-top in my opinion. They don't provide trash cans so bring your own trash or be prepared to find a way to get it to the dumpster located in the center at the parking lot.
